Explore the ecology and geology of one of the world's oldest mountain ranges, which is approximately 2,500 million years old. The Magaliesberg Canopy Tour, situated in the Magaliesberg Biosphere Reserve, is only 1 hour and twelve minutes from Johannesburg and one hour from Pretoria.

The Magaliesberg Range is home to numerous plant, bird, and animal species. You may spot a duiker or a shy klipspringer leaping from rock to rock with a little luck. It is likely that you will observe our nesting pair of Black Eagles circling above. Rock rabbits (dassies) are plentiful, and depending on the time of day, they may be frolicking about or basking in the sun on a bare rock.

Magaliesberg has an established route through a forested and frequently mountainous landscape, utilizing primarily tree-built platforms and zip lines. For safety, eager but anxious adventurers are secured to a steel cable throughout the duration of the tour. "Zip-lining" is the act of gliding along a suspended cable (i.e., "zip-lining" refers to the activity itself), whereas "canopy tours" refer to opportunities to engage in the activity! The distance between Sun City and Magaliesburg is 85.4 kilometers.

You can rest assured that safety has always been and continues to be our highest priority. Thus, we can continue to operate as safely as possible and offer our guests the chance to enjoy the outdoors, fly through the ancient Magaliesberg Mountains, observe wildlife, and experience the thrill of zip-lining with us.
